Why shouldn\u2019t be your friend who is always the life of the party or the DJ (since you\u2019ve already paid him a lot of money) coordinating your wedding? I\u2019ll explain in detail and I\u2019m sure you will agree with me by the end.<br\/>Let\u2019s start at the beginning. The master of ceremonies (MC) does this as a profession. He most probably has many years of experience, he cannot be surprised, he is prepared for everything and knows the solution to every problem. And there are problems with every wedding. Well, not problems, but issues to be solved.<br\/>The wedding MC will meet you before your wedding, even several times. He will advise you, and you write the script together. He\u2019ll tell you all the behind-the-scenes secrets of what makes a perfect wedding (you can read all about that in a separate blog post). He will not let your wedding go wrong, because a good wedding is his best reference. Your buddy is not this motivated. The MC arrives before the guests and he stays with you at least until the last programme ends. During this period, he coordinates the guests, the catering and service providers. Furthermore, he is there whenever you need him, the MC entertains and is managing the various programmes\/games. A DJ or a best friend will not do that for you. The DJ is there to provide music and create a good atmosphere on the dance floor. He cannot do two things at the same time. And your best friend is there at your wedding to have fun, not to work. If you hire an MC, you can rest assured that your wedding is in good hands, but if you don\u2019t like something he will take responsibility for it and you can ask him to change it. But what are the main tasks of a master of ceremonies at a wedding? Here is an incomplete list:<br\/><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to expect from an MC?<\/h2>\n\n<p>\u2013 an in-person meeting where you can get to know each other and select the MC whose personality is closest and most sympathetic to you<br\/>\u2013 continuous assistance from signing the contract until the very end of the wedding (scenario, choice of suppliers, programme ideas)<br\/>\u2013 an elegant look and behaviour<br\/>\u2013 welcoming the guests on the wedding day<br\/>\u2013 continuous activity at your wedding<br\/>\u2013 entertainment programmes at your wedding<br\/>\u2013 ongoing coordination of the wedding party and service providers<br\/>\u2013 a comprehensive contract to protect you from unpleasant surprises<br\/>\u2013 and most importantly, security. A dedicated MC will never let a wedding become boring or conventional. This is why you need to choose the service provider as carefully as possible, which is a daunting task. What you should be aware of is that the cheapest option is not always the best one, but the most expensive one may not be the most professional provider either. It is very important for the service provider to have a good and verifiable reference. There are a great number of possibilities, as they have probably organised a large number of weddings.
